ULTRA t Equipment Company is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our research and development team focused on the design, build, integration, and testing of advanced Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) equipment. This is a hands-on engineering role and not a management position.
The successful candidate will play a key role in developing next-generation thin-film deposition systems for the microelectronics industry. Working closely with mechanical, software, and systems engineers, you will help design innovative equipment, integrate advanced controls and components, support customer-specific applications, and contribute to the development of novel thin-film technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, build, and test advanced CVD thin-film deposition equipment and systems. Develop and integrate electrical controls, PLC systems, and automation solutions. Design and support PCB development from schematic through manufacturing. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on equipment development and system integration. Support application-specific projects, equipment demonstrations, and R&D initiatives. Analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize deposition processes, vacuum systems, and equipment performance. Document technical findings through reports, presentations, and publications.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering/science field (advanced degree preferred). Minimum 5 years of professional experience working with CVD thin-film deposition equipment. Hands-on experience with plasma-enhanced, laser-enhanced, or other energy-enhanced CVD processes. Experience designing, building, and operating thin-film deposition equipment and vacuum systems. PLC design and integration experience. Experience with full-cycle PCB design, including schematics, layout, fabrication, and testing. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to provide examples of technical reports, publications, presentations, or similar documentation demonstrating relevant expertise.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with any of the following is highly desirable:
Laser systems, optics, and laser applications SolidWorks Electrical and CAD design Microelectronics or semiconductor equipment development Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Cleanroom environments Photochemistry and chemical characterization Design of Experiments (DOE) and data analysis Project management Industry standards such as SEMI, CE, and UL Technical presentations, publications, or customer-facing engineering support
