We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Wire EDM Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and maintain our wire EDM machines to produce high-precision components according to customer specifications. You will work closely with our team to ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency in machining operations.
Key Responsibilities: Operate Wire EDM Machines: Set up, program, and operate wire EDM machines (such as AgieCharmilles, Sodick, Mitsubishi, etc.) to produce parts per engineering specifications. Machine Setup: Prepare machines by installing and adjusting necessary tools, wire materials, and fixtures. Perform test runs to verify machine settings. Part Inspection: Inspect finished parts using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators to ensure accuracy and compliance with technical drawings. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues with machines, parts, and equipment. Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs as needed to minimize downtime. Documentation & Reporting: Complete all necessary paperwork, including job sheets, production reports, and quality control documentation. Keep accurate records of machine settings, tool usage, and part inspections. Quality Control: Follow quality control procedures to ensure all parts meet the required specifications and tolerances. Communicate with quality control inspectors when necessary to ensure parts meet the highest standards. Safety & Cleanliness: Follow safety protocols and ensure the work area remains clean and organized. Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment. Collaborate with Team: Work alongside other operators, engineers, and production personnel to maintain a smooth workflow and optimize machine utilization.

Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of experience operating wire EDM machines in a manufacturing or machining environment. Experience with CNC or sinker EDM is a plus. Technical Skills: Proficient in wire EDM machine operation and programming (Fanuc controls, Siemens, or similar). Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. Strong understanding of materials, tolerances, and machining principles. Mathematical Skills: Strong understanding of geometry, measurements, and dimensional tolerances. Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to identify issues and resolve them promptly. Attention to Detail: High level of precision and attention to detail to ensure high-quality outputs. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certification in CNC, EDM, or related fields is highly desirable.
Preferred Skills: Experience with multiple EDM machine brands. Ability to perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting independently. Knowledge of CAD/CAM software for EDM programming, MasterCAM preferred. Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ideally in the aerospace, medical device, or precision engineering industries. Basic computer skills, ideally JobBoss, and Microsoft Office.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand or sit for long periods during machine operation. Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining focus and attention to detail.
