HME is currently recruiting for a Rework Specialist II to perform basic testing and troubleshooting to identify mechanical, physical and minor electrical defects in assemblies and sub-assemblies and reworks equipment in an efficient, high-quality manner to restore it to factory specification. This is a 1st shift position working Monday - Friday (5:30am - 2:00pm).
What you will do in the position:
- Perform visual inspection and tear-down of products
- Use standardized troubleshooting methods and equipment
- Isolate and identify causes of minor physical, electrical, and mechanical defects
- Determine best course of action to restore products to working order
- Read and interpret drawings, work instructions, and safety guidelines
- Perform repair, rework, reconditioning, refurbishment, upgrade, and warranty activities
- Remove and replace damaged, broken, and defective parts, components, and subassemblies
- Validate and document corrective actions taken to restore returned equipment to working order
- Perform testing to ensure equipment functions according to specifications
- Inspect finished products to verify conformance to industry and workmanship standards
- Document failure codes and repair information on repair orders
What you will need to succeed in this position:
- Ability to operate required equipment (soldering iron, de-soldering station, hand/power tools, etc.)
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to exercise good judgment
- Ability to read/interpret manufacturing drawings
- Good interpersonal skills
- Soldering skills
- 2+ years of related experience
The expected pay range for this role is $18- $23.32/hour. This may vary depending on experience and other factors. Our benefits package includes tuition reimbursement; 3 weeks paid vacation your first year, paid holidays, medical, vision and dental coverage, pet insurance, life insurance, and 401K contributions.
The employee will frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and will occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance. Position requires frequent contact outside the department or company and the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate with occasional loud noise. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts, works in high, precarious places, is exposed to fumes and/or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, and is regularly at risk of electric shock
