The Role
The Swiss-based institutional client advisor team has a need for a sales support associate. This is an integral role within the institutional sales business. The preferred candidate will be required to work closely with the senior client advisors to help build and sustain client relationships within the institutional business of JPMorgan Asset Management (JPMAM). The group is responsible for the distribution of all JPMAM products (segregated solutions, Alternatives, pooled funds, , etc). The target market includes the largest pension funds, insurance companies and foundations headquartered in Switzerland.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Partner with client advisors to support all facets of the sales and business development process
- Help identify new business opportunities and upcoming product searches
- Conduct market research and market intelligence to support business development and client engagement
- Assist the sales team in maintaining prospect and client databases, ensure that critical client information is stored and updated in the CRM Tool
- Support Senior Client Advisors throughout the manager selection process, including RFI, RFP, and beauty contests; coordinate the end-to-end process from initial screening to distribution and follow-up
- Coordinate with product teams on client presentations, portfolio reviews and ongoing relationship management efforts
- Respond to client requests and manage client communications efforts to promote continuous sales dialogue and build client relationships
- Partner with marketing team on new product launch initiatives and client events
- Interaction with finance department
- Provide coverage and support for senior sales colleagues, ensuring continuity of client service during absences
- Understand the regulatory and compliance framework, including Know Your Client (KYC) requirements
- Lead, train, and mentor working students, including recruitment and ongoing guidance
Qualifications & Experience Required:
- A degree from a university or university of applied sciences (Fachhochschule) is expected
- Professional written and verbal communication skills in German and English is required; French is a plus
- Interest and understanding of Asset Management industry and investment funds
- Self-starting team player, hardworking and eager to learn
- High grade on flexibility and capability to work under pressure with a keen eye for detail
- Must be comfortable initiating projects and working under limited direction
- Strong communication skills
- Analytical skills - The ability to quantitatively analyse JPMAM's and the competition's products/performance
- Software and database skills - Proficiency in Microsoft applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Eager to learn the client on-boarding & operational processes
